kick-off vision 2050
description
What is your vision of a sustainable agricultural and food system in 2050?We are facing major environmental challenges at global, national and local level. Agriculture is held responsible for a number of negative effects. However, agriculture should not only be seen as the cause, but also as part of the solution. It is part of our food system, which includes farmers, agricultural and environmental organisations, distribution and trade, scientists, educational institutions, administrations and politics and, above all, us as consumers. It has been scientifically proven that a holistic, sustainable, future-orientated land management system can contribute to overcoming our environmental problems.
However, there is no vision of what a sustainable agricultural and food system that produces high-quality food while protecting natural resources would look like. We also lack a vision of how the transition to such a system can be achieved.
This is precisely where the VISION 2050 project comes in. The development of the vision of a future-proof, sustainable agricultural and food system will take place with the involvement of all interest groups.
Your involvement is important to us: we cordially invite you to participate in the VISION 2050 project.
